As a cleaning business owner, you need to keep yourself and your employees safe by using cleaning chemical safety guidelines recommended by OSHA: *Use environmentally friendly products or cleaning chemicals that are not considered hazardous. *Use automated dispensers for cleaning chemicals to avoid employee contact with chemicals. *Provide your employees with the appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) such as goggles and gloves when using cleaning chemicals. *Ensure that chemicals that are not compatible with each other are not stored together (for example - ammonia and bleach should never be stored or used together). Check MSDS sheets. *Every container needs to have a label. *Avoid storing liquid chemicals on top shelves. Store them on lower shelves. Copyright (c) The Janitorial Store (TM)
